aul Swadel showcases his knack for creating

artistic, eye-catching and award-winning work

as a director and producer with nearly three decades

of experience in all areas of the film industry. Paul

studied film at the University of Canterbury and then

graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the Elam

School of Fine Arts at the University of Auckland.

Fascinated by the visual possibilities of film and video

recordings, he began collaborating on short films

such as an experimental piece, “Supercollider,” and

“Accidents,” a thriller about a work gang that won

screenings at film festivals in Venice, Italy; Clermont-

Ferrand, France; and Melbourne, Australia. He has

also applied his directing talents to music videos

and commercials, including award-winning projects

for Sony and Nike. Paul has made his mark in arts-

related programming, directing a significant number

of award-winning documentaries, including “The

Understudy,” which went behind the scenes at the

Metropolitan Opera, and a six-hour series entitled

“The Big Picture,” declared best series at the 2008

New Zealand Screen Awards. He is currently

developing seven feature films and producing shorts

with the NZ Film Commission while teaching 3-D

animation and visual effects courses at Media Design

School in Auckland.

arianne Kadunc began writing songs in her

teens. Following a teaching career, she joined

the entertainment industry, performing in a cappella

groups at the Sydney Opera House and touring

America. Under her stage name “Marianne,” she

performed at festivals and private functions. In 1999,

she began compiling her original songs into a debut

album entitled “The Truth,” completed a year later.

The album tells a personal story of human emotions

through an eclectic mix of pop, rock, blues and country.

In 2007, she earned a Graduate Diploma of Music

from the Australian Institute of Music. With her

innate talents and skills,Marianne founded C Change

Music, which offers live entertainment, songwriting

and creative projects. She also helps fellow creatives

market their projects through Marianne’s Mobile

Marketing. Marianne is the author and publisher of

“The Adventures of MazzyMookameyer - Storybook,”

a children’s book released in 2013, for which she

was named Professional of the Year in Education

and Authorship by Worldwide Who’s Who. They

also inducted her as a lifetime member, as did The

International Women’s Leadership Association. In

2014, Marianne co-founded The Sound Directions

Australia Foundation to assist children in need.
