Pro-Files Eighth Edition

or more than 26 years, Therese Boisvert worked in the medical field doing data entry, analyzing drug and alcohol screenings and maintaining detailed records for Gundersen Health System, a physician-led nonprofit organization. Even in her personal life, as a devoted Catholic, she has always been committed to the greater good by serving as a local volunteer and member of several education committees. That is why, after leaving the health care industry and being faced with a new opportunity, she took a chance in a role that proved to be a perfect fit. In her position with the Diocese of La Crosse, which is comprised of 162 parishes and more than 200,000 members of the Catholic faith, Therese assists the vicar of clergy and vicar general in their daily communications. She also works with priests and deacons for whom she performs secretarial duties on a regular basis. With her administrative experience and organizational skills, she helped to revamp the records system by integrating the two existing libraries and possibly creating a third. As is the case in many other industries, technological advances may have revolutionized how church business is conducted in some ways, but Therese consistently performs at a high level. Known for being honest, diligent and forthright, she excels in her position due to her work ethic of course, but the fact also remains that she simply loves what she does. Having earned a Master of Science in education and library sciences and a Bachelor of Science with a minor in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Ms. Boisvert has a deep connection to the area she has called home for over 30 years. In addition to her full-time employment, she is also a liaison to the diocese for the La Crosse Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and secretary of the La Crosse Deanery and Parish Council of Catholic Women.
